Our students have started very well their adventure with this year's competition, the Microsoft Imagine Cup 2016. The second stage, within which were selected the top 30 teams from each of the three main categories, got up as many as 11 of our teams! The next stage will involve the training of the basics of business development, which will take place in Warsaw and completed emergence of the 10 best teams from each category. The results will be announced in the last week of February. Maciej Kopczyński (Faculty of Computer Science) and Marek Antoniuk (a member of the team We Code For Food) are helping our students since October 2015 to prepare their projects.
On-the-job training and internships for the best and most active students as well as joint research and development projects (concerning especially the most modern information technologies) and meetings with business practitioners – these are some of the elements of the agreement between Bialystok University of Technology and CERI International. The cooperation agreement was signed on 3 November 2015 by Prof. Lech Dzienis, BUT Rector, and Mr Miguel-Angel Rodriguez Alvarez, President of the CERI Management Board.
The Białystok Branch of the Polish Mathematical Society invites to participate in the 7th Podlasie Conference on Mathematics (7PCM), 8-11 June 2016 (Wednesday-Saturday), Białystok, Poland.
The Podlasie Conference on Mathematics is a biennial international conference organised by the Białystok Branch of the Polish Mathematical Society in cooperation with Białystok University of Technology ( Faculty of Computer Science), Poznan University of Technology ( Institute of Mathematics) and the University of Białystok ( Faculty of Mathematics and Informatics). The conference usually spans three and a half days devoted to presentations and discussion. As before, there will be organised a plenary session and several special sessions during the conference.
Participants of the conference are invited to deliver a contributed talk and to take part in one or more of special sessions. Participation of younger researchers is also encouraged.
